Shafaq is the Arabic word for the soft afterglow that lingers in the sky once the sun has gone, that pink-grey light that holds for a few quiet minutes before the night settles in. We named this abaya for it because, honestly, she wears the same colours.

Cut from a softly woven pashmina blend, she carries dusty rose paisley woven over a smoke-grey ground, with the heritage motif running in vertical bands down the body and across the sleeves. Product Care

Washing

• Dry cleaning is the easiest way to keep her looking her best.
• If washing at home, hand-wash in cool water with a gentle detergent made for wool or pashmina.
• Wash the abaya and scarf separately so the fringe stays neat.
• Skip the machine, the bleach, and the wringing. Press the water out gently by rolling her in a clean towel.

Drying

• Lay flat on a clean towel, away from direct sun.
• Smooth her into shape while she's still damp.
• Skip the tumble dryer.

Ironing

• Use a cool setting (the silk or wool mark on your iron).
• Steam from a small distance is the gentlest option.
• If you're pressing directly, place a thin cotton cloth over the fabric first.

Storage

• Fold and tuck her into a breathable cotton bag or drawer between wears.
